Carnegie Hall Studio Tower
Owner: Carnegie Hall Corporation
Carnegie Hall has long been regarded as an international mecca for music, a home to both classical and contemporary works of art. However, since its conception in the 19th century, the Italian Renaissance Revival style concert hall and studio space has not been renovated. This year, it has embarked on major internal and external renovations at the cost of about $200 million. New York City, New York State, and Carnegie Hall’s private supporters have pooled their resources in order to fund changes such as new entrances on the ground floor, a new and wider rooftop, a rooftop terrace, and new exterior lighting, among other renovations.
