 Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation honored Elly Spicer with the Community Partner award at their 25th Anniversary Gala held on April 30th, 2009.
Cypress Hills Development Corporation was founded in 1983 by local residents and merchants to revitalize their Brooklyn community. Today, they work to develop affordable housing, organize better public schools, provide child care and after-school programs and provide technical assistance to local business owners, among other services.
The cocktail reception and dinner is held annually to honor leaders and organizations that support Cypress Hills Development Corporation. To honor three of the Corporations most outstanding partners, the Corporate Partner Award was given to Capital One Bank, the Community Leadership Award to Lamont Lawes of CHLDC, and the Community Partner Award to Elly Spicer. |
